In urgent cases, please contact the team of the Language Learning Institute (SLI) to make an individual appointment.
We do not offer a DAAD test in other languages. Please contact the respective language department to receive further information.
It is recommended to read newspapers and watch the news to prepare for the examination.
The SLI also offers a preparation session which usually takes place 7 days before the test on the same weekday and at the same time via “Zoom”.
The test results will be sent to you by post. This might take a few days.
The DAAD test consists of a reading, a writing, a listening and a speaking section. The competencies tested correspond to the CEFL levels A2-C1 with the latter being the topmost score.
The written part takes about an hour (60-70 minutes) followed by the oral part which takes about 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of the group.
The DAAD language certificate is generally considered valid between one and two years from the date of issue. Please ask the institution where you would like to hand in the DAAD language certificate, for further details.
